TU president to discuss doing business in China

Thomas University’s next installment in the popular TU Talks series will feature Dr. Gary Bonvillian, President of TU, presenting “Doing Business in China.”

The People’s Republic of China is the world’s largest market. Dr. Bonvillian will discuss the challenges and opportunities of doing business in China. He’ll also cover the delivery of education in China. TU currently has more than 1,000 students enrolled in its programs in China through cooperative programs with universities in China.

“Our lives are all impacted by what happens in China,” Bonvillian said. “That is inescapable because of the size of the market itself.”

Bonvillian’s experience doing business in China dates back to 2002. He encourages anyone interested in learning more about China to attend this TU Talk.

“People would benefit from hearing some of the things that I’ve experienced, which mirror what other people have experienced,” Bonvillian said.

The lecture will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Main Campus. Hosted by the TU Library, TU Talks are free and open to the public. For more information, call 229-227-6959.
