Thomas University to hold career seminar for veterans

When transitioning from the military back into civilian life, sometimes veterans need help choosing the right career path. Thomas University will hold a seminar next week for veterans to help with those issues.

The TU Career Center will hold the seminar at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom, which is located inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Main Campus.

Presenting the seminar will be Dr. Gary Bonvillian, TU President and combat veteran in the U.S. Army Infantry in Vietnam, along with David Barnett, Director of the TU Career Center. The workshop will cover topics including how to transfer military skills to civilian life, developing lifelong career strategies and TU services specifically for veterans.

All veterans are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Barnett at dbarnett@thomasu.edu.
