Thomas University breaks ground for new residence halls

Thomas University officials and supporters gathered on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 30, for the official groundbreaking ceremony of TU’s two new residence halls. Located on TU’s Magnolia Campus at 1550 Magnolia Street in Thomasville, the two residence halls will house 80 students in apartment-style suites. They will be ready for occupancy by fall semester of 2016. Participating in the groundbreaking are (from left) Dr. Gary Bonvillian, President of Thomas University; John Glenn, Chair of the TU Board of Trustees; Harry Tomlinson, Chair of the TU Board of Trustees’ Properties and Facilities Committee; Tom Callaway, Chair of the TU Board of Trustees’ Finance and Endowment/Investment Committee; Leon Lynn of Jinright, Ryan and Lynn; Architects and Planners; J.J. Van Der Watt of Van Der Watt Engineering; and Brock Middleton of Construction CGM.
