TU Talks lecture series kicks off for fall semester

The ever-popular TU Talks will continue at Thomas University this semester. The first one will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, with Shannon Woods, Assistant Professor of Nursing, presenting “What Really Happens at Camp.”

At 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, Dr. Jeff Edgens, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, will present “Eat Fat, Lose Fat!” Next will be “Deviant Behavior: Traits” at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, presented by Dr. Claire Dede Avery, Chair of the Division of Counseling and Psychology.

The series will conclude for the semester at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, with Dr. Gary Bonvillian, TU President, presenting the lecture “Doing Business in China.”

Hosted by the Thomas University Library, TU Talks are held in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall. There is no admission fee, and TU Talks are open to the public. For more information, contact the staff of the TU Library at 229-227-6959 or refdesk@thomasu.edu.
