Thomas University staffers complete FEMA training

Four Thomas University staff members completed FEMA’s three-day course “Multi-Hazard Emergency Management for Higher Education” held June 2-4 at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. During the course, the staff members learned about FEMA’s concept of an Emergency Operations Center and how that concept can be applied to the unique characteristics of institutions of higher education. Participants from TU include (from left) John Wolfhagen, Technology Support Engineer; Ed Reed, Director of Facilities; Cindy Montgomery, Director of Communications; and Brittany Christie, Student Activities Coordinator and Housing Manager.
