Thomas University holds active shooter drill

Emergency medical services personnel transport a mock victim to a nearby ambulance during an active shooter drill held on Thomas University’s Main Campus on Friday, April 17. The drill featured a scenario that included a lone gunman targeting people in the Forbes Building and the TU Library. Law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel from Thomas County and the City of Thomasville partnered with TU to implement the drill. Cosmetology students from Southwest Georgia Technical College provided realistic makeup for the students and staff who were mock gunshot victims.

Before the active shooter drill began, Cosmetology students from Southwest Georgia Technical College created realistic-looking fake wounds for TU student and staff volunteers who portrayed gunshot victims.
