TU Nursing to hold graduation celebration, honor society induction ceremony

By Rachel Wiggins, Student Writer

Thomas University’s Division of Nursing will hold a Nursing graduation celebration and induction ceremony for the Phi Tau Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 26. The event will be held in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom, located inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Main Campus.

The event is open to the public and will also include an educational lecture by Dr. John Mansberger, who will present “Treating the Whole Person.”

Mansberger is a board-certified physician at the Archbold Integrative Medical Center specializing in integrative/holistic medicine. He was instrumental in establishing the Archbold Integrative Medical Center, which is the only center of its kind in South Georgia or North Florida that is directed by medically certified staff. The center combines conventional medicine with proven alternative therapies.

Mansberger – whose specialties include acupuncture, colonoscopy and endoscopy in addition to integrative medicine – received his undergraduate degree from Western Maryland College and went on to earn a medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

RSVP by calling the Division of Nursing at (229) 227-6904. One continuing education unit (CEU) will be offered for this event.
