Thomas University MBA students place in national competition
Students from China enrolled in Thomas University’s Master of Business Administration program competed in the Student Poster Competition held during the annual conference for the Association for Industry, Engineering, and Management Systems held Monday, March 24, in Cocoa Beach, Fla. AIEMS is an multidisciplinary organization for advancing excellence in the areas of Business Management, Engineering and Industry Integration. One group placed first and the other group place second with their poster presentations. The students used the posters to present research they conducted for Dr. Jenny Swearingen’s class during the fall semester. Swearingen and Dr. Pauline Ray, another TU professor, helped the students prepare for the competition and for the questions from 15 judges. TU students are shown with some of the judges from the competition. Students competing include (starting third from the left) Kai “Frank” Qin, Junlong “Allen” Zhang, Bohan “Angelo” Zhang, Ting Kun “Tim” Yang, YuanLing “Linda” Zhang, Xiang “Lee” Li, KaiMeng “Kemi” Gu, Wenliang “Fang” Fang, and Hujun “Jame” Chen. Joining them is Ann Marie Emmons, Chair of the Division of Business at Thomas University.
