Next TU Science Café to focus on projectile motion
The next installment in Thomas University’s Science Café series will feature “Projectile Motion: What do Emmanuel Zacchini and the archer fish have in common?” In 1940 Zacchini, a circus performer, set a world record with his 175-foot cannonball jump at 54 miles an hour.
Presented by Dr. Juan Gomez, an Assistant Professor of Math and Physics at Bainbridge State College, the Science Café will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom located inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Main Campus.
Participants are invited to enjoy food and conversation with the speaker in the lobby of Smith-Bonvillian Hall from 6 to 6:30 p.m. before the presentation.
There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend. For more information about the Science Café, contact April D. Penton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
