TU faculty, staff and students send holiday cards to troops overseas

Thomas University faculty, staff and students shared a little holiday spirit with troops overseas by sending Christmas cards. The cards were collected using decorated boxes at various locations on campus.

“Holiday Mail for the troops is a way to show our veterans that we thank them for all their brave heroic actions,” said Chrissy Gainous, Senior Financial Aid Counselor, who organized the effort.

“It’s great that we had the support of the TU family and student body. It will mean a lot to the men and women in service to receive those cards.”

The greeting cards will be sent through the American Red Cross's Holiday Mail for Heroes Program and will be delivered before Christmas.
