Thomas University to hold poetry reading Nov. 14

Thomas University will feature the works of area poets Nick Sturm and Craig Blais during a reading set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the TU Library on the Main Campus.

Nick Sturm is the author of “How We Light,” from H_NGM_N BKS, as well as a number of chapbooks, including with Wendy Xu “I Was Not Even Born” and with Carrie Lorig “Nancy and The Dutch,” an erasure of paperback biographies of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Black Warrior, Typo, jubilat, and elsewhere. He is co-curator of Dear Marge, Hello, an independent reading series in Tallahassee.

Craig Blais is the author of “About Crows,” winner of the 2013 Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry. His poems have appeared in such magazines as Antioch Review, Barrow Street, Best New Poets, New Orleans Review, and New Welsh Review. He is a Ph.D. candidate at Florida State University and lives in Tallahassee.

The poetry reading is free and open to the public. The poets’ books will be available for sale.
