Thomas University announces two promotions
Thomas University President Gary Bonvillian this week announced two promotions that will go into effect June 1. Dr. Ann Landis, current Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, will be promoted to Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. Tim Klocko, current Vice President for Finance and Administration, will be promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration.
“Over the years I have come to rely on these individuals a great deal in carrying out the work of advancing Thomas University’s interests,” Bonvillian said. “Dr. Landis has long been a close partner in developing strategy and institutionalizing change that has propelled the school to significant levels of growth and stature in the Academy. Her effectiveness in our China operations has also been extraordinary. Mr. Klocko’s skills as a Chief Financial Officer have brought me much comfort in knowing that our precious resources are in good hands.”
Landis began her career at TU as an adjunct instructor for English Composition courses and was then hired as a full-time Assistant Professor of English in 1998. She later served as Division Chair, Associate Dean, and Dean of Arts and Sciences before becoming Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2006.
Before joining TU, Landis taught English at the secondary level in Virginia. She also taught English and Humanities at Bluffton University in Ohio and at Florida State University. Landis holds a Ph.D. in Humanities from Florida State University; an M.A. in English from James Madison University; and a B.A. in English from Eastern Mennonite University.
Klocko joined TU in 2009 as Vice president of Finance and Administration. Before joining TU, he served as Controller at Grand View College in Iowa and Stephens College in Missouri. At Stephens College, Klocko was promoted to Vice President of Finance.
Klocko holds an MBA with emphasis in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance, both from Northwest Missouri State University.
