Message From The President
For the past 64 years, Thomas University has welcomed students from all walks of life, providing higher education at an affordable tuition. The university has strived to be responsive to our region’s diverse population while challenging all students to excellence and personal transformation.
With the recent completion of a $5 million capital campaign and TU’s acquisition of the West Campus, the former Magnolia High School in Thomasville, great things are happening! The university’s renovation of its West Campus situated less than a mile from our Main Campus, will enable TU to expand its athletics programs, including re-introducing basketball to our extramural sports, and attract many more athletic-scholars than has been possible in the past. A new student life center, a wellness center, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium will grace the West Campus in the near future, and very soon, a new academic building will be a reality on the Main Campus.
This fall, we welcomed more than 1,100 students to Thomas University, marking the fifth straight year of increased enrollment. We continue to excel in supporting and retaining our students, and our graduates are advancing to make a difference in fields as diverse as education, counseling, nursing, the sciences, and criminal justice. The growing stature of Thomas University benefits all of our constituents, including alumni, students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community. This Annual Report showcases our alumni achievements and our outstanding faculty and academic programs. Please take this opportunity to connect with success as we enter a new year filled with promise for the future.
Dr. Gary Bonvillian, President
