Part-Time Accounting Instructors

The Division of Business at Thomas University is seeking dynamic professionals to teach Accounting to students in our undergraduate programs in Marketing, Management, and Accounting and/or Master of

Business Administration with a concentration in accounting program beginning August 2015 on an adjunct or pro-rata basis for the upcoming academic year (Fall/Spring/Summer 2015-2016).

A Ph.D. in Accounting is preferred; CPA is preferred. Applicants with a master’s degree in Accounting with significant work experience in the field will be considered. All applicants must be adept in the use of instructional/online technology and have experience developing and teaching in an online delivery model. Instructors are needed to teach both online and on campus.

Advancement Services Coordinator

The Advancement Services Coordinator will support and assist the Advancement Office Directors and Vice President in various elements of their duties.  The position is full-time and encompasses assistance with all areas of institutional advancement, including alumni relations, communications, development, and foundation relations.  The position requires interpersonal skills, multi-functional skills, multi-tasking, and tech-savviness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as the main receptionist for the office, greeting guests and answering the phone
  • Data entry, data integrity, and reporting on data within and from advancement software application
  • Process gift receipt and expense paperwork
  • Maintain advancement office physical and digital files
  • Assist with procurement of goods and services
  • Assist with the creation and design of print pieces for brochures, communications pieces, list-serve emails, donor recognition and correspondence
  • Assist with updating information on social media
  • Supervise work study students assigned to advancement office
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Capable of working with sensitive information with complete confidentiality

Education

Administrative Assistant to Academic Programs

Thomas University is seeking a full-time administrative assistant to provide clerical and program support to the Divisions of Counseling & Psychology and Social Work. The applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office in creating professional documents, such as letters, reports, newsletters, and spreadsheets using Word, Publisher, Excel, and Access; must demonstrate the ability to carefully maintain paper and electronic student records using a database software system; must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong customer service skills, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.  Associate degree required; bachelors degree strongly preferred.

Faculty Positions in Nursing

Thomas China Programs is seeking faculty to teach in our innovative RN-BSN programs in China. Full-time, part-time, and visiting professor applicants are invited to apply for appointments of a semester or longer.

Thomas University holds approval by the Chinese Central Government to deliver a cooperative program for students at the following Chinese partner universities to earn TU's RN-BSN in China: Wenzhou Medical College (Zhejiang Province), Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Jiangxi Province), and Inner Mongolia University for the Nationalities (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region).
