Assistant Director of Residence Life / Sports Information Director

Residence Life

Manage the day-to-day operations of the local residence life office. Provide support, supervise staff and maintain various office records, including private student information. Train, supervise and evaluate resident assistants. Ensure that living and common spaces are safe, clean and functional for students. Regulate student conduct by enforcing residential rules and regulations, serve as judicial officer, respond to urgent and emergency situations, and intervene in conflict solutions. Oversee departmental budget, including planning, execution, and evaluating to ensure fiscal integrity of the department.

 Sports Information

Coordinate the development and implementation of a proactive media outreach program to print, radio, TV, and other electronic media outlets. Prepare media releases to communicate with the general public news and information about the college’s athletics program and teams. Work proactively with media to encourage coverage of college athletics events and news. Serve as the public relations agent for the Athletics Department in developing positive relations with media representatives from the electronic and print media. Oversee production of media guides, publications, and game-day materials for all sports. Oversee management of the press box at various on-campus sporting events, or assign coverage of this function to another member of the Athletics or Communications departments. Ensure that workers are hired and assigned to cover the various game management functions required for each sporting event, such as public address announcer, music, scoreboard, live streaming video, and other functions. Oversee maintenance of all portions of the athletics Web site. Oversee departmental budget, including planning, execution, and evaluating to ensure fiscal integrity of the department.

THOMAS CHINA PROGRAMS

Faculty Positions in Nursing

Thomas China Programs is seeking faculty to teach in our innovative RN-BSN programs in China beginning Fall semester 2013. Full-time, part-time, and visiting professor applicants are invited to apply for appointments of a semester or longer.

Thomas University holds approval by the Chinese Central Government to deliver a cooperative program for students at the following Chinese partner universities to earn TU’s RN-BSN in China: Wenzhou Medical College (Zhejiang Province), Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Jiangxi Province), and Inner Mongolia University for the Nationalities (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region).

Faculty will teach one or more of the following eight-week Thomas University RN-BSN courses at TU’s Chinese partner universities:

·         Physiology of Aging
